Spring is in the air, which means our environment around us is changing! 🌷

Here are a few tips we have to welcome spring energy into your life, and make sure you're keeping your body energetically aligned while also managing those allergies:

🛠 Change the filters in your home, you can even get an air purifier to filter dander and pollen in your home.

🪟 Even though you might have seasonal allergies, get FRESH air into your home! You may have had your windows closed all winter, leaving the air in your home stagnant.

🤧 Clear out your sinuses! We deal with tons of clients throughout this season who are struggling with allergies who have never cleared their sinuses - it helps! If you need guidance for this, contact your family doctor!

☀️ Get outside! Again, we know allergies can be annoying, but getting fresh air is still good for you.

🥬 With the weather getting warmer, this is the season to embrace more raw fruits and vegetables, as your body craves less stews, soups and warming foods. Check online to see what fruits and veg are seasonal in Decatur/Atlanta!

At least 1/3 of cancers are preventable, yet it is estimated that 10 million people die every year around the globe because of it. (World Cancer Day, 2024)

Adopting a healthy lifestyle and getting regular screenings BEFORE you start to see symptoms can make a huge difference in reducing the risk of developing cancer.

Here are some of the most common screening tests you should be checking:

There are small, but impactful steps you can take to better manage your diabetes. Here are a few tips that can help get to that 5-10% weight loss::

Make half of your plate colourful ➡️ This ensures you're consuming enough vegetables, and a VARIETY of different vegetables
Creating more of a caloric deficit ➡️ By making some changes to your calorie intake, or burning more calories through movement
Portioning out food with clear measurements ➡️ Using containers with portion sizes already allocated for your snacks and meals helps ensure there isn't any binge eating or overconsumption of food

Why the name Bridge?

Quite simply, we strive to bridge many gaps: The gap between conventional and holistic medicine, the gap where patients cannot get an appointment to see their doctor, and the gap between healthy and vulnerable communities. Our mission is to provide integrative and comprehensive medical care to community members using a Direct Primary Care model.

DPC is a membership model of health care- it is direct care between doctor and patient, without the hidden fees from health insurance.

With a small community of patients to care for, our doctors can afford quality time to spend with patients.

With a streamline staff and less administrative & third-party insurance’s influences - our doctors work for you and not a system.
