Dr. Robbins and I have worked hard to make this procedure a reality for the greater ATL community. With this procedure we can end GERD for so many people. As the surgeon my job is to fix a hiatal hernia if present and the gastroenterologist uses a new technology called the Esophyx device to make an ideal wrap, which is the optimal anti reflux barrier we are born with that degrades for SO MANY over time. Proud to be leading the charge on fighting this problem which has become to common place and accepted as normal, when it’s far from anything normal and has real long term consequences! The best part for me is getting someone off medication and the collaboration across specialties for optimal disease management 😉🙏🏽
