Eligibility and Denials always get the mentions when it comes to healthcare revenue cycle. But don't overlook this often underrated practice- be clear and consistent with your charge reconciliation process!

Here's why:
1. Use it as a safeguard to make sure every charge actually makes it out the door. Don't leave money on the table!
2. Avoid timely filing issues- eliminate the worry all together if you have a monthly charge review process.
3. Use it as a valuable training tool. If charges keep getting missed consistently, it points to a breakdown in an internal process. Time to set up a refresher training!

We have a proven way to rev up your claims billing and keep more your money where it belongs- in your practice!

Here's our take. Flip what you think you know about working claims denials- let your OUTPUT determine your INPUT.

Output: Analyze those denial claims and keep your eyes peeled for trends. These are denials that occur again and again- pay attention to the remark codes you're getting from your insurance payors! Once you have your data- move on to your input.

Input: Set goals based on the data you uncovered from your analysis. Revamp processes if needed. Help yourself out here by focusing your effort into creating systems. This will help you stop the cycle of losing money when you don't need to!
