This weekend in Las Vegas, a quiet power moves through the room.

It’s in the grace of each technique, the care in how spaces are held, and the confidence of therapists stepping forward—not just to compete, but to represent something greater.

That force is the ripple of preparation, mentorship, and shared purpose.

Team USA Massage has stood beside many who are present—uniting, cheerleading, coaching, consulting, encouraging, and helping each other prepare through training, collaboration, and heart. From organizing state championships, judges, participant trainings to offering hands-on guidance, together we’ve helped build the strength behind the scenes that’s now shining on stage.

We’re proud to support so many therapists, organizers, and evaluators who are doing beautiful work this weekend. If you sense a current of excellence here—it didn’t happen by chance.

It came in part from the unification, collaborations and work done together.

Grateful for all the coaches, supporters and participants that have come togther throughout the years. We support and learn from each other.

Thailand was crowned the winner at the World Championship in Massage event, which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark from 27-29 June. It is Thailand's 3rd win

A snapshot of the cohort from the 1st Nationwide Massage Championship Prep Training, April 2023. Organized and coached by Joe Lavin. Wendy Lavin and other award winning coaches, Tracey Windmill and Wassa Lakkham, with volunteer co-organizer and attendee Krista Harris, contributor and attendee Tony Bethel. It truly took a collaborative effort to pull off this event that helped prepare some of the 1st cohesive US Team for the International Massage Association 6th Annual World Championship in Massage 🇩🇰 organized by Krista Harris, some of the 1st State Massage Championship judges and organizers. The Massage Championship Prep Training that exists today evolved from this. The journey, love and support continue. Grateful for all. 🙏

Team USA Massage is an independently led U.S. initiative dedicated to supporting massage professionals in national and international championships, education, and global collaboration.

Team USA Massage works in close cooperation with the International Massage Association (IMA), where founder Krista Harris serves as an IMA Ambassador, while remaining independently led and free to collaborate across multiple global organizations.

Our mission is to empower U.S. massage professionals to grow, connect, and represent their work on the national and world stages, foster global exchange and international goodwill.

5th European Massage Championship — Paris, France 🇺🇸🌍

One week ago, massage professionals from the U.S. participated alongside colleagues representing across 40 countries at the 5th European Massage Championship in Paris.

Krista Harris served as Team Leader for the U.S. participants and was honored with the U.S. Team Leader Award as well as nominated for the New Massage Association "NewMa Excellence Award" 2025.

Gold Medals were awarded to Krista Harris (Freestyle Western Traditions) and Alexander Huei Chung Chiu (Sports & Asian Categories) in the International Division.

We are pleased to share a few highlights from this outstanding international event, showcasing the skills and professionalism of massage therapists from around the world.

It is important to note we have two other US participants that are not there, that participated in the GL-National & International Massage Championships online. Awards for this are coming up. Good luck to ALL 6 of you and ALL therapists from around the 🌎
