👏Leadership in Action
We would like to recognize Chief Wilmond Meadows of AMR - DeKalb Operations for his continued commitment to community engagement and public health. Today, Chief Meadows organized a highly impactful community wellness event in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Frontline Response. https://www.frontlineresponse.org
This event was attended by AMR Dekalb, EMS Chief Operations Manager, Lance Hester, Manager of Healthcare Systems & EMS Transformation, Israel Contreras, Interns, Tomi Amubioya, Kemarra Anderson and Paramedic, Ericka Jackson. This initiative was designed to support residents by addressing key health and safety needs during the peak of the summer heat.
The event featured:
💧Free Hydration Bags which included a mix of hydration essentials such as water, cooling towels, snacks, and other helpful goodies
🩺Blood Pressure Screenings to help individuals stay informed about their health status
👩🔬Basic Health Education and Outreach to increase awareness around emergency medical services and prevention
🤝Direct Engagement with the local community, fostering trust and strengthening the relationship between first responders and residents
The turnout was remarkable, and the feedback from community was overwhelmingly positive. Events like these are vital in building healthier, safer neighborhoods—and they reflect the mission-driven work of our EMS leaders.
Our Leadership team, exemplifys what it means to go beyond the call of duty. Their dedication, planning, and hands-on involvement ensured that the event was not only well-organized but also meaningful and effective.
