As Black Maternal Health Week comes to a close, I was able to attend a walk in remembrance of Kira and other mothers who have lost their lives due to poor maternal care. As a black maternal health advocate, I stand in the community and with other birth workers to ensure we are doing our best to see more black and brown mothers leave the birth space healthy and alive.
I am very grateful to be in this space and I will continue to do all that I can to make sure black maternal health is always a priority. “Black Mamas Matter” ❤️
