🌟 Spotlight of the Month: Monica Orta 🌟

This month, we’re eager to recognize Monica Orta for the consistency, professionalism, and care she brings to her work every day.

Monica shows up for both clients and staff in a way that is steady, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive. She’s someone people trust - whether it’s families, colleagues, or fellow clinicians - because she leads with strong clinical judgment and real respect for the people behind the cases.

“Getting to support kids as they grow into who they are and build communication skills that help them be seen and understood, while supporting technicians as they become confident, skilled professionals, is at the heart of why this work matters to me. Being part of a team that creates meaningful change for the clients and families we serve is truly special.”

We’re grateful for the role Monica plays in supporting our clients, mentoring staff, and strengthening our clinical culture. She is incredibly responsive and consistently great to work with.

Congratulations on being our Spotlight of the Month - so well deserved. 💙

⭐ Tip Tuesday

End sessions on a planned success!

Whenever you can, plan your last 2–3 minutes on purpose.
Set up a task the learner already knows how to do well - or one that’s almost guaranteed to contact reinforcement. 🎯

Why?

Because the last moment of a session is what sticks.

When a learner ends feeling successful instead of frustrated:
✨ motivation carries into the next session
✨ cooperation comes easier next time
✨ and confidence quietly builds

This isn’t about avoiding hard work.
It’s about being strategic with how you close.

🧠 Quick tip:
Before session even starts, ask yourself -
“What can I end on that will feel like a win for this learner?”

A mastered target.
A favorite response.
A fast, clean trial they love.

🌟 Small success at the end = stronger momentum for tomorrow.

Because success doesn’t just feel good…
it teaches your learner that learning itself is safe. 💛

You don’t have to have it all figured out 🧠

Growth in ABA doesn’t come from being perfect
It comes from noticing what didn’t quite land… and being brave enough to ask why 🤔

It’s that tiny moment after session when you think:
“Hmm… I’d try that differently next time.” 👀💡

Every clinician you admire started there too 👣

Give yourself the same patience you give your clients 🤍🫶
Curiosity is still progress 🚀✨

Tip Tuesday 💡

Prepare materials before the session starts - not during it.

When your visuals, data sheets, reinforcers, and programs are ready ahead of time, you protect the most important part of the session: your connection with the learner 🤍.

Preparation reduces downtime, prevents avoidable frustration, and keeps momentum strong - especially when sessions move fast and behavior can change in seconds ⏱️.

🧠 A prepared provider isn’t just organized.
They’re more present.
More responsive.
And better positioned to deliver meaningful, high-quality care.
😌🫶

Because strong sessions don’t start with supplies - they start with intention. 💪✨

Presidents’ Day isn’t just about history - it’s about the standard we set for leadership today.

At Amaze ABA, we believe real leadership looks like protecting clinical integrity, supporting our teams, and making decisions that truly serve families - even when it’s hard.

We’re committed to modeling that standard with our people, through our systems, and in how we lead every day.

❤️🤍💙

Tip Tuesday💡

Start every session with one clear goal 🎯

Not five targets.
Not a long program list.
Just one priority ✨

Before you begin, pause and ask:
What’s the most meaningful skill or behavior to focus on today? 🤔

When expectations are clear, sessions feel calmer, more intentional, and easier to measure.
Clarity reduces overwhelm - for providers and learners. 😌

✨ Small focus → meaningful progress 🚀

If this work feels heavy sometimes, there’s a reason. 🤍

You’re not just running programs.
You’re not just filling data sheets.
You’re not just managing schedules and goals.

You’re shaping how a child learns to communicate. 💬
How a family experiences daily life with less stress. 😌
How independence slowly replaces frustration. 💪
How confidence begins to grow in places where doubt used to live. 💁‍♀️

That weight you feel at the end of a long day isn’t a sign you’re failing.
It is not a sign you’re burned out or not cut out for this.

It’s a sign you care deeply. 🫶
It’s a sign you’re holding real responsibility - for real people - in real moments that matter.

In ABA, progress doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like one extra second of waiting.
One more attempt to use a word.
One calmer transition.
One parent finally exhaling because today felt a little easier than yesterday.

Take a breath. 😮‍💨
Slow down for just a moment.

You are carrying something meaningful.
And even on the days when the impact feels invisible - it is still real. 💛

✨ Spotlighting Koko Njonjo ✨

Impact doesn’t always show up in big, flashy moments.
Sometimes, it looks like steady progress, growing confidence, and a child doing one more thing independently than they could yesterday.

That’s what drew Koko to ABA-and what continues to fuel her passion every day.

She entered this field to make a meaningful difference for children building communication and daily living skills. What keeps her going is watching small, consistent steps add up to real independence. The kind that changes how a child moves through the world-and how a family experiences everyday life.

Koko’s work is rooted in patience, purpose, and the belief that progress is powerful, even when it’s quiet.

We’re proud to have team members like Koko, whose dedication helps children-and families-navigate life with greater confidence.

Thank you, Koko, for the care, consistency, and heart you bring to your work every day. 💙
