“Loved my recent visit with Julie! I am preparing for a 4-day international trip in a few weeks and needed to figure out a plan to have enough milk for my exclusively nursing 7-month-old. Julie helped me think through every detail - from ensuring I’ll have enough milk frozen to how to navigate pumping and transporting milk during the trip - it was so helpful to have her as a sounding board to think through every detail. I would highly recommend working with her!”

What would someone like me want in my stocking?? A new review! I’d be honored for you to share your experience working with me at this link: https://g.page/r/CUj13GOD7a2OEBE/review

I’m an Apple Music girly with a playlist high jacked by my six-year-old. So while I’m not on the Spotify wrapped train, here’s a wrap up of 2025 for Grow Together Lactation!
In the new year, as my baby starts childcare, I’ll be back at it to support more new families in 2026!

It’s been a couple years since I introduced myself on here, so I thought this would be a good time to say hey again!

🌱 I’m Julie. Lactation consultant, occupational therapist and mom are my most relevant titles.
🌱 I grew up in central Florida and attended the University of Florida with my Bachelors in Health Science and Masters in Occupational Therapy (OT).
🌱 I started my path towards Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) as a Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2020, which took almost 5 years.
🌱 As an OT, I have worked in lots of settings, including adult inpatient rehab, adult acute care & brain injury/neuro day rehab, pediatric home health, pediatric acute care & inpatient rehab, and of course perinatal/lactation OT!
🌱 My first experience in the perinatal world was during a mental health internship in OT school in a substance abuse rehab facility for pregnant and new mothers (and their babies).
🌱 I started Grow Together Lactation as I was finishing my IBCLC path in 2023.
🌱 My son was born in 2019 and my breastfeeding experience with him contributed to my drive to be able to support parents through feeding challenges.
🌱 My daughter was born in 2025 and even as a lactation professional, we still have experienced challenges and gather support from a lactation consultant.
🌱 Some of my personal motherhood journey experiences include C-section birth, VBAC birth, gestational diabetes (one time), tongue tie (one revised, one not), mastitis, triple feeding, low supply and supplementing with formula, returning to work, pumping, extended nursing, and single motherhood (for a few years).
🌱 I am a birth nerd and yes, I want to hear your fertility/birth/feeding journey stories.
🌱 While I haven’t been running much recently, running has been one of my own mental wellness tools over the years and I have run about 15 half marathons (one full marathon was enough for me).
🌱 I love traveling and hiking, which often involves lots of snack bribes when bringing a little kid along. For our honeymoon, my husband and I hiked 14 miles a day through Patagonia, staying in hostels along the way.

I see you! I’m right there in newborn life too!

I did a couple home visits last week with a parent who I had previously connected with prenatally. While I questioned my readiness to return to work, as well as my own confidence in overcoming my own breastfeeding challenges, I gave it a go! It turned out that doing a home visit with good for me! It helped me think about someone else’s experience besides my own, and it also helped me return to feeling like the other sides of myself.

So for now, I want to share that I’m GENTLY back! I’m open for virtual consults and texting support. I’m also available for SOME home visits with mutual connections, who are okay with me bringing my young baby. So far 🤞🏻, my “baby intern” has understood her assignment and slept through home visits in her carrier. Share my contact info with a new or expecting parent who needs breastfeeding/bottle feeding support!

I’m in network with several insurance plans including Aetna, United, Cigna and more. I’m here to support your baby feeding journey!

The best way to get started is to send me an email or text!

My baby arrived September 26th, 2025 at 9:22pm weighing 7lbs 14oz!

She took her sweet time choosing her birthday, arriving to her successful VBAC at 41+1 weeks after two days of labor. She knew best, because she arrived on her daddy’s birthday! Dad got the BEST birthday present ever!

We felt so supported by our birth team at Grady, including the midwives and doula support! The midwives were so patient in letting baby choose her birthday and helping me feel empowered and safe through prenatal care and birth. Kate was INVALUABLE and we literally couldn’t have done it without her!

Big brother is so smitten and happy that baby sister “finally, finally, finally” here!

Even as a seasoned mom and IBCLC, these early days are hard but so, so sweet! 🫩😴🥰

Still digesting all the good learning last weekend at the Neonatal Touch & Massage Course by

This was one of my favorite courses I’ve ever taken! Thanks for bringing it to us!

I have gotten to practice hands on with several NICU babies and I’m looking forward to teaching parents this additional way to bond with their baby!

I even got a few extra letters tacked onto my name!
