What did you have but never use?
What did you regret not having in advance and urgently buy afterwards?

Still digesting all the good learning last weekend at the Neonatal Touch & Massage Course by

This was one of my favorite courses I’ve ever taken! Thanks for bringing it to us!

I have gotten to practice hands on with several NICU babies and I’m looking forward to teaching parents this additional way to bond with their baby!

I even got a few extra letters tacked onto my name!

My family is growing and I’ll be starting another breastfeeding journey of my own soon!

Since Grow Together Lactation is a bit of a one-woman show, I thought I’d share my plans for current and future clients during this season.

I will longer accept new clients starting September 1st.

I will continue to provide follow up support for established families for as long as I can (due date is mid-September).

Families needing ongoing support as my leave begins will be referred to trusted lactation supporters with handoff communication.

As I feel ready, I will slowly start resuming to support families. I will listen to my body and my baby’s needs, but I anticipate this will be around November 1st. A newborn may or may not be in-tow for some of these sessions, if families consent.

Stay tuned on social media and email for updates on my return to this work.

In January, I plan for my baby to start childcare and I will have consistent availability to return to supporting families regularly. This is also when I plan to resume shifts at my hospital job.

Breastfeeding 101
(my 2-hour online self-paced breastedfeeding class) lives online and will always be available for late fall and winter parents looking for prenatal education!

I have mostly been quiet on my social media about my own baby on the way, but I look forward to sharing more about my pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding journey as I feel inspired!

My first breastfeeding story is live on

Resources that I’ve enjoyed so far this pregnancy:
prenatal care
doula support with Kate
with Renita
Prenatal yoga, meditation & strength on app
Fit4Baby workouts with
& podcasts

Unfortunate update from The Lactation Network/TLN regarding BCBS/Anthem plans: Starting July 14, The Lactation Network (TLN) will no longer approve BCBS/Anthem plans.

That’s important because most lactation consultants in private practice can’t bill BCBS directly — and TLN has been the only way to get covered visits.
If you have Anthem/BCBS and you're already approved, your six visits are not impacted.

If you have Anthem/BCBS and you get approved by July 14, your six visits are not impacted.
If you're planning to become pregnant, pregnant, postpartum, or think you'll need lactation care in the next 2 years:
Apply for TLN approval NOW before the deadline. Reach out to your IBCLC for their link! It'll only take 5 minutes to submit the form at their link.
Approvals are usually good for 2 years, but you must apply by July 14.
This is ONLY for those with Anthem/BCBS. IBCLCs can almost always take Aetna, United, Cigna in network.

If you have questions, be sure to reach out to your IBCLC.

You'll just need their TLN link. Always best to use your IBCLCs link and NOT the link on the TLN website as your IBCLC is paid less if you go through TLN directly versus through the IBCLC's own link. https://go.lactationnetwork.com/JulieChampeauLLCDBAGrowTogetherLactation
