A devastating car accident left Ricky in a wheelchair, marking the beginning of a nearly seven-year battle to not just heal, but to reclaim his life and reunite with his family.

A heartwarming story from the Pittsburgh, PA Maxim Healthcare office: one patient's family shares what it's like to travel with a nurse. 💙

Rebecca's son, Hudson, requires complex medical care.
For Rebecca's family, traveling with a private duty nurse isn't a luxury—it's a lifeline. It allows them to care for Hudson at home, keep their family routine, and continue living life fully. From supporting Hudson's care to helping her daughter compete in tennis across the country, Maxim's team makes it all possible. "We wouldn't be able to travel without a nurse. It gives us a sense of normalcy. Allows us to be a family."

Rebecca's top travel tips for families with medically fragile kids:
☑️ Use a color-coded travel bag for medical supplies
☑️ Know both agency and airline rules ahead of time
☑️ Keep all medications/liquids accessible for TSA
☑️ Stick to your child's normal routine as much as possible
☑️ Bring nurses you and your child feel comfortable with

Beginning of a new month means highlighting our new ! Congratulations Rhonda, our team here at Maxim is so thankful for all she does and appreciates her immensely. The family Rhonda works with wanted to share why Rhonda is important to them. "Rhonda has been a little angel for us and especially for our son. She is very loving, kind, and gentle. She has gotten to know our son so well and is super intuitive to his needs. She is the loving and calming force her needs throughout the day. He has not missed a single day of school, due to seizures, since Rhonda has started attending with him. She is attentive, happy, nurturing, and truly loves and cares for our son's happiness and well being. A working mom and dad cannot ask for anything more when leaving their child in someone else's care. Our son is happy with Rhonda and I can absolutely tell that he likes her and responds well to her. We are extremely grateful to have Rhonda with us!"
