Saturday, January 21st, at 3:55 p.m. (est.), is the first New Moon of 2023!!! Time to detox.

What's so special about the New Moon?

New Moons are a time of reflection and renewal. We reflect during this time because we have completed a full 28 day lunar cycle (this is where the word "month" came from) and a new one is beginning. We review what we have done and find ways to do them better, if need be. Perfect setup for a fresh start and an opportune time to cleanse our bodily systems.

Why do we follow the Moon?

The Moon relates to the waters. As it circles the Earth, it physically pulls on the tides of the sea and also on the 70% of water we are made of as human beings. As we will learn during Divinity's Detox, our emotions are just liquids moving in our bodies and this is why the moon has such an impact on how we feel. When we align our movements (or actions) with the Moon's movements, we become intuitively aware of this feminine aspect of energy.

New Moon in Aquarius

When the Moon is in Aquarius, we are guided to pay attention to our legs, more specifically our calves and ankles. It's giving a very grounded energy, and with the energy of Aquarius being highlighted during the New Moon, there's no greater time to stand firm in who you are! So this Divinity's Detox we are going to eat foods that are stabilizing for our blood and use our framework to initiate our lives in the direction of our desires.
