This is how it all started in July 2019. We opened right before the Pandemic. I recall the day we had to close; Friday March 13, 2019. I thought this would end my dream of having my own studio and business. Well, we survived the economic collapse that followed and are still going strong. So here’s to an another year of entrepreneurship in crazy Los Angeles.

Many of you know me as a Pilates instructor but I am also a rescuer and volunteer for a Passion For Paws Rescue, an Akita Rescue based in South California.

Sadly our latest rescue Akita requires major surgical intervention for a broken hip. He was found wandering a mountain region in California. X rays revealed a sad truth; this sweet Akita (we named him Zeus) lived a life of neglect! We assume that at one point he may have gotten into a car accident that broke his front paw and shattered his right head of the femur. He has lived with excruciating pain for a long time.

Please support his surgery with a contribution to his gofundme. The comments contain statements from ACCESS Specialty hospital as well as my vet Camino Pet Hospital. The CT scan and consult alone was wilted between $3,000 and $4,000. Surgeey is easily another 10k. All bills and findings will be posted to the gofundme fke transparency reasons! Times are tough but they are even harder for thise eho have no voice!

The Kaplan family was one of our very first clients since day one. And mom and daughter have been diligent and consistent with their Pilates practice with us ever since.

This poor boy is in trouble! He was found running loose and captured by AC somewhere in nowhere’s land. Poor thing was just trying to survive.

Toshiro must have been starving out on his own for who knows for long bec he is truly skin and bones with calluses on his elbows and sit bones.

He at the very least will needs some antibiotics, steroid shot and a medical bath, heartworm test, nail trim, heart worm meds and some decent food. It will be a long time before his coat will shine in its former glory but we are committed to help him get there!
