Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract: 8-Week Contract

Shift: Days or Nights Available

Location: New Orleans, LA

Pay: $2,090/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric RN, you will be responsible for providing quality mental health care to patients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans and provide ongoing evaluation of patient progress.

Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient's mental health status
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
Monitor patients for signs of behavioral changes, adverse reactions to medications, or other issues and report any concerns to the treatment team
Provide ongoing patient education and support to encourage participation in their treatment
Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers
Requirements:

Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric RN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds
