WOW — what an incredible day in Atlanta! 💚
Our team had the opportunity to participate in an Autism Virtual Reality Experience, and it left a lasting impact. The simulation allowed staff to feel the sensory input, hear the overwhelming sounds, and experience how everyday environments can become intensely challenging. It was powerful, eye-opening, and deeply meaningful.
We then continued the day together with a showing of Temple Grandin, bringing everything full circle and deepening our understanding even more.
Because we rotated through in small groups, we couldn’t capture one big team photo — but the impact was definitely shared by everyone.
At Achievements ABA Therapy, we believe great care starts with understanding. Experiences like this strengthen empathy, expand clinical perspective, and ultimately help us better support the children and families we serve.
Thank you to Amy Karnes for coordinating such a meaningful experience and to Paige Commander for inspiring the initiative. We’re grateful for a team that continually looks for ways to grow and serve with empathy.
More highlights to come!
