Camp Hollywood is the FOCUS adapted summer day camp program for campers with disabilities and their siblings.

Our camps are built to support campers who need medical oversight 🩺and assistance with personal care support such as medication administration, toileting, mobility support, or feeding.

Campers enjoy a week of art🎨, music🎶, theater🎭 (🆕 this year), cooking 🍳, and recreation🏀based on the themes of popular children’s movies.

Camp Hollywood makes all children feel like STARS⭐!!

We are so thankful for our friends at Blue Trust who were a huge help getting families settled at our annual spring family camp at Camp Twin Lakes.

Their team transferred luggage and essential medical equipment from cars to golf carts and then to cabins. Their volunteer service made the arrival process easier for families and FOCUS staff.

Thank you so much BlueTrust, you truly helped to make everyday life BETTER for our families.

FOCUS Parent Workshops Presents: Service Dogs

📒How dogs can, and cannot, help children who have disabilities and their families.

Canine Assistants places service dogs with people who have mobility difficulties, Type 1 Diabetes, epilepsy/seizure disorders, and other special needs. We also place Community Service Dogs who provide therapy services to children and adults primarily in Children’s Hospitals. We provide a Disabilities Awareness Education Program and K-9 Kids Reading Program for school-age children as well as Animal Assisted Therapy services.

Parent Workshops are held through Zoom. Participants will stay muted until Q&A at the end of the presentation. These Workshops are educational workshops for parents of children with disabilities. Recordings will be available on our “Recorded Workshops" page within the week.

We are so grateful for our friends at Clothes Less Traveled Nonprofit Thrift Shop for their faithful support of our adapted summer day camp program - Camp Hollywood - in Peachtree City.

Camp Hollywood in Peachtree City is our camp location that fills up first. We are so grateful for this incredible donation to help support the work we do the community.

Thank you for your support and for your belief in supporting children with lifelong disabilities and their families. This donation helps to make everyday life BETTER for our families.

🏊‍♂️💦 The FOCUS Adapted Swim Team – FAST Fins – made a splash at their Spring Season swim meet over the weekend! 💦🏊🏽‍♀️

FAST Fins had an excellent swim meet. They had so much fun! We are all so proud of their commitment and hard work this season. Great job swimmers!!The FAST Fins Swim Meet was amazing! Swimmers came out and gave it their all. We are so proud of all of you!

A huge thank you to all coaches, volunteers, and donors for making this possible.

FOCUS Equipment Grants cover certain types of equipment not covered by private insurance or Medicaid.

FOCUS provides grants for the following types of equipment:
🎯 Van lifts, ramps, behind the vehicle lift systems
🎯 Transport style wheelchairs as a manual backup (ex. Convaid)
🎯 Activity chairs (ex. Tumbleform, Special Tomato, Rifton)
🎯 Materials for ramps for home access (Installation not funded)
🎯 Stair lifts
🎯 Patient care lifts
🎯 Custom bath equipment

⛺Camp Infinity is our weeklong, overnight camp for teens and young adults with disabilities at Camp Twin Lakes. Our campers have an amazing time hanging out with old friends and making new ones, exploring adventures outdoors 🚣🏾‍♂️and nurturing new skills indoors. It is a great time to sharpen those independence skills away from home in a fun and supportive setting.
