If you’ve ever commented on how good it smells in Ritual, or asked me what I’m wearing- here’s your answer! We now carry my most favorite scent from .studio -Marcie. A scent made for her grandmother, it stands out in memory yet remains subtle. It’s just great and we are happy to have it. Give it a try next time you are in. Or come in just to give it a try.

Calling all Osa fans! Our wanderer has travelled home to Ritual. We are so excited to have Osa back on the schedule on Saturdays. And as an added bonus, she’ll be here this Sunday for Mother’s Day. Spots are filling up quickly! Welcome back to a wonderful therapist and human.

How is your year going? Yeah- us too. While a massage studio is not typically a venue for political discussions, we have always been open about our values, striving to support justice and human dignity.

This Friday, February 28th, a nationwide economic boycott has been organized. We fully support these ideals, but we also recognize the importance of sustaining small businesses. To help our clients engage in civic action while maintaining their values, Ritual Bodywork is offering a cash-only deep discount for the day. On Friday, 2/28, clients can enjoy a 60-minute massage for $100 or a 90-minute massage for $150. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize those cash savings effectively. Simply write BOYCOTT in the notes and we will apply the discount at checkout.

We understand that a one-day boycott may seem small and potentially insignificant, yet collective small actions can foster community connections and a sense of unity that is essential during these times. Since opening our current location in 2020, we have seen many reactions in people’s bodies and minds through receiving healing touch.
Ritual was created to be a haven for members of our community when they need relief from life’s stressors. Sometimes, those stressors come from sitting at a computer or moving various kids around to their various activities. Sometimes, the stressors are more globally felt.
We are a place where all bodies can come and feel safety, healing, and compassion. When we say it is an honor to help you on this path, we really mean it. All of us. As I checked in on the staff working yesterday, they all said the same thing- they were happy to be with clients. They were happy to provide some stability and grounding.
At Ritual, we will never stop advocating for humanity, and we will always be here for you when you need a place of solace from your own fight, no matter how big or small. Connection is so important, and we want to help you reconnect with yourself, with us, and with the world outside. We love you Atlanta.

A note on subtle movements- in massage, slowing down and using small, intentional movement can have a big impact. This is especially true in vulnerable areas such as the jaw. Our nervous system needs time to compute what is happening, and acting quickly in these sessions can cause the client to tense or shut down. Trauma or unresolved emotions can compound these feelings, which is why a trusting relationship with your therapist is key in these moments. It may not look like much is happening, but there is a whole world going on in this photo.
