Atlanta Mayor Dickens’ Chief of Staff Courtney English was a guest speaker at Mercy Care’s bi-annual all-employee meeting last Friday. He affirmed the important connection shared between the City and Mercy Care. He commended the staff for the excellent care they continue to provide to everyone who walks through our doors, especially our homeless residents. His inspiring words capped off an already energetic and positive meeting. We are grateful for his partnership and appearance at our event. Thank you !

It's forecast to be a cold and rainy, possibly icy weekend. With our street medicine and outreach teams handing out blankets to our clients every day, our supplies of winter essentials are running short. You can help by donating new or gently used blankets or sleeping bags to our Gifts of Warmth campaign. Donations can be dropped off at our Decatur Street and our Chamblee clinics. Please visit https://mercyatlanta.org/gifts-of-warmth for full details. THANK YOU for helping our clients keep warm and dry this winter!

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by embracing his call to serve with compassion and care. At Mercy Care Atlanta, we believe that every act of kindness makes a difference—and you can help right from home:
• Sign up to volunteer and share your time and talents
• Create meal kits for individuals and families in need
• Assemble hygiene kits with essentials for those experiencing homelessness
• Donate Gifts of Warmth like coats, blankets, and winter essentials
Together, we can build a community rooted in dignity, hope, and love.
Will you join us in answering Dr. King’s question: What will you do for others today?
Go to https://mercyatlanta.org and choose "Support Our Mission" for ideas on how to donate and volunteer.

Mercy Care sees every day how homelessness harms our clients’ physical and mental health. That's why our case managers and our partner organizations work so hard over many months to help guide our clients through the housing process. And then we celebrate when it yields results like it did last week when we helped six Mercy Care clients move into new apartments, just in time for the new year. Happy New Year indeed!
