Dr. Glenda Racer McCarty, Ph.D., founder of Yoga At Heart, is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of yoga and a registered Yoga Alliance teacher (RYT-200).

Drawing on 25 years as an educator, her academic background, and trauma-informed yoga expertise, Glenda has created specialized programs that empower individuals on their healing journeys. Her courses delve into the profound effects of trauma on the body, blending scientific research with practical yoga practices.

Glenda currently offers yoga to survivors of sexual violence through Mosaic Georgia and leads retreats focused on rest, healing, and empowerment.

What is yin yoga?
Yin yoga is a slow, passive style of yoga where we hold poses a minimum of 4 minutes. It targets the connective tissues - letting you "release" those tight areas. We will focus on hip, hamstrings, and shoulders. No previous yoga experience is needed.
