I am an ACE-certified (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer passionate about helping others achieve their fitness and health goals. I have continued education in pre- and post-natal fitness, back, shoulder and knee injury rehabilitation, osteopenia and osteoporosis and am a Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant. Working full-time as a Personal Trainer since 2005, I have been fortunate enough to grow my clientele strictly by word-of-mouth, and work with several doctors in the north Atlanta metro area. In 2007, I co-founded and opened a Personal Training Studio in Alpharetta, GA that is still in operation (now named Emery Fit, previously named Studio One to One). I write health and fitness articles regularly for local newsletters, magazines, am a paid contributor to Livestrong.com, eHow.com, and am a Strength Training expert on Allexperts.com. Through my years of training, I have worked with men and women aged 15-80, all with various fitness goals. I take pride in staying abreast of the latest fitness techniques and have been professionally educated using the TRX Suspension Trainer, Kettlebells, Bosu balance trainer, WaterRower, HIIT and plyometric training, cardiovascular training as well as traditional weight training. I am a Knee Injury Specialist through the American Council on Exercise. I am CRP & AED certified by the American Heart Association. I currently train clients in my home gym in Cumming, GA, but also mentor and refer business to several area trainers with much more availability than myself.

This is my favorite breakfast lately. Corn tortillas, a little shredded cheese, warm for few seconds, top with two scrambled eggs with lots of spinach cooked in, sliced avocado and top with fresh pico de gallo. Getting some veggies in first thing and it sticks with me for a few hours.

Kale is in the cruciferous veggie family which means they are high in fiber, antioxidants, lots of vitamins and fight cancer cells in your body!

I love to roast kale with olive oil and salt and make kale chips which my family loves.

This salad is also a hit with any gatherings and I’m asked for the recipe all the time. Massaging kale with the dressing makes it less bitter.

Hey guys!

I have decided to start up our Saturday morning small group training again! This has been a huge hit in years past, but this time I am leading it verses one of my associate trainers.

This is a full body resistance training workout for a full hour (yes you can do it) and cardio will be worked in as well. Best way to train, I’m telling you.

We will use machines, free weights, bands, balls, kettlebells, TRX suspension trainers and more!

Please message me or comment below if you want in! Cost is a flat $100/month no matter how many Saturdays there are. This is the most cost-efficient way to get a personal trainer in a private gym setting!

Making ā€œthe sauceā€. My oldest hasn’t had my homemade cooking in over a week due to work, so I asked him what he wanted and it was THIS! Loaded with veggies and high quality protein. I hand squeeze tomatoes imported from Italy and yes it makes a difference.

Use one of these two pastas. Your kids won’t know the difference. Add a side salad or green beans, broccoli, etc.

BTW I’ve been asked to sell my sauce by many so no, I won’t give the recipe. But if you seriously want to buy some, let me know!

Happy New Year! Time for a new special discount...

Say you're not quite ready for a trainer or to start an exercise program but really want help with your diet to start. After all, nutrition is a very large part of your fat loss, energy and mood-stabilizing success!

Our monthly nutrition programming/counseling includes:

* First one-hour virtual or in-person meeting discussing your unique goals, taking measurements if desired, discussing current habits and struggles, customized online food log programming and instruction.
* Sample meals plans.
* Regular food log monitoring and feedback suggestions by your nutritionist.
* Access to your nutritionist via text or email with ability to ask ongoing questions or seek advice.
* Two weeks later, another one-hour virtual or in-person meeting to discuss further details or questions, go over the last two weeks of food log, and discuss any changes needed for further success.
* Ending measurements if desired.

We currently charge $200/month for this service with a one-time initial fee of $50, but for the month of January, we are waiving the initiation fee AND reducing the fee another $25/month for as long as you need us!

I have mentored and continue to work closely with both trainers, so I can safely and confidently refer business to these fine women knowing clients will be the best hands possible.
