Still nursing my toddler, and honestly this moment sums it up.

Extended breastfeeding isn’t always quiet rocking chairs and sleepy babies. Sometimes it looks like a big kid with opinions, snacks, and a full personality still finding comfort in the same place she always has.

It’s not for everyone, but it works for us. And one day it will end, so for now, I’m letting it be exactly what it is. 🍕🩷

I didn’t write this for my followers. My friends and clients and family know where I stand.

I hope this statement gives some of my white birth worker and photography counterparts the courage to be ABUNDANTLY clear on your stance.

Because either way you swing, we need to be informed for all of our collective safety and decision making purposes.

The gestational diabetes test isn’t something to fear.

It’s a screening tool most providers use between 24–28 weeks to check how your body is processing sugar during pregnancy.

If your numbers are high, it’s manageable.
If your numbers are normal, great.

Either way this is about protecting you and your baby.

Happy 2 months Cassidy! It has been a wild ride. The first few weeks of postpartum were magical, but somewhere around week 5 my postpartum anxiety reared its ugly head and I was not ok. I’m very grateful for my tribe and my midwives for helping me get back on track with better routines and new meds and supplements.

Cassidy is a chunk now, she’s had lots of mama’s milk. She’s very particular about her sleeping habits and what and how she wants to play and be entertained lol
She loves watching her sister play and being talked to face-to-face. She hates 3 out of her 4 swing options and refuses to take a paci. Basically she’s the opposite of her sis in every way so far except sleep 😆. She’s a fantastic sleeper so far, just like Cam, and she’s been sleeping through the night since 4 weeks (knock on wood). We all adore her!

Join us at the Georgia NACPM Holiday Market. Santa will be there as well! Photos can be done without Santa. The mini-shoot requires a $75 donation to GA NACPM and 100% of the proceeds are going to help protect Georgia midwives and fight for state licensing. Hope to see you there!
