Project UPLIFT Morehouse School of Medicine Project UPLIFT is an evidence-based program that is delivered over the phone to groups of 6-8 people

The Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory University are currently seeking participants to test intervention program Project UPLIFT (Using Practice and Learning to Increase Favorable Thoughts). Participants must: identify as African American, have been diagnosed with epilepsy by a health care provider for at least three months, are Georgia residence, and are willing to participate in the intervention and surveys. Project UPLIFT seeks to educate African Americans with epilepsy and their caregivers regarding epilepsy, epilepsy stigma, and epilepsy self-management. This study will last a total of about 28-30 weeks, and all study activities will take place over the phone and through mail.

Hello everyone!

We have two great sessions coming up that we hope for you to attend. First is our upcoming virtual Epilepsy Community Resource Series focused on "Transitioning from Pediatric to Adult Care." The session will be this Saturday(10/14/23) from 11am-1pm EST. You can register for the Transition to Adult Care session here: bit.ly/epilepsyresources

Next is our virtual Seizure First Aid Certification that will happen the first Saturday during Epilepsy Awareness Month (11/4/23 at 11am-1pm) EST. You can register for Seizure First Aid Certification here: bit.ly/seizureaid
