The number one quality I look for in any relationship is safety. I think you all should look for that too. Ask yourself, am I safe emotionally, physically and/or mentally with this person(s)? If you answered no to any one of those, it’s time to reevaluate.

This one made me cry. It’s the holiday season and it’s always rough for me. Family is tricky. I’m sure it’s that way for a lot of folks. And this post is for you. To the people who don’t have family to spend the holidays with, for people who have had tumultuous upbringings and were hurt by the people who were supposed to love you the most. I SEE YOU. I AM YOU. We will get through this thing. And while we muddle our way through the holidays I hope that you find your chosen family and that they are kind, supportive, understanding, safe and loving.

Here’s a little insight into my brain. I had no idea what to post. I opened up Canva and nothing. So I said to myself “just find your pretty pastel background and take it one step at a time” and there you have it. Most of the time, I’m posting things that I need to hear, like little reminders to myself. And hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you. One step at a time.

We need to evaluate our financial standing regularly (check those bank accounts and see what you're spending)! That's scary, I know.

When you do though, you'll realize you have more money than you thought. Get organized, start saving. That's it.

Thank you everyone, I am so extremely grateful for the amount of love and support that I have in my life. I am also nervous. The vulnerability that I have displayed today has been unnerving. But, it’s something that I am proud of myself for and something I’m sure little me would be proud of too (although I’m sure she’d be embarrassed too).
