How are you healing today?

We’ve all been wounded, in some way, at some point. Unlike physical wounds, emotional wounds aren’t visible to the eye. Sometimes, they run deep beneath the surface, hidden in places we’ve chosen not to revisit or allow others near. But here’s what I’ve come to understand: even though they aren’t always apparent, the effects of emotional wounds will show up in how we lead, live, love, and relate to others.

Building strong, healthy relationships starts with developing our emotional intelligence. We all have unique strengths when it comes to connecting with others, but there’s always room to grow and improve. Growth is a lifelong journey, and every conversation is an opportunity to build deeper connections.

Let’s revisit the 5 key elements of Emotional Intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Take a moment to reflect—where do you naturally excel? And where could you focus a little more attention to grow?

Here’s a challenge for you: pick one area for growth and intentionally practice it in your conversations this week. Whether it’s pausing to self-regulate or leaning into empathy, these small efforts can make a big difference in your relationships.

Remember, growth takes time and patience. Let’s walk this path together! 💛
