June 7th is World Food Safety Day! When it comes to food safety, packaging plays a huge role. Designing food packaging materials that are safe and do not contaminate food products is essential to certain business segments within our customer base.

• The manufacturing process.
• The storage and handling of packaging materials.

Congratulations to our Team! This year Hood Container awarded three special awards in various areas of and recognized facilities furthering those key areas. Our Dalton team was presented the Effective Change Management award.

Throughout the facility’s expansion, including new equipment installation and adding new team members, Dalton consistently made safety a priority. They introduced key safety programs, such as Lockout/Tagout, Dock Safety and Pedestrian/Forklift Separation, resulting in zero incidents. Congratualtions to the Dalton team!

Some of our facilities recently went all in on ! Hosting a free throw tournament and cookout in Louisville and Franklin, our employees each employee had 1 minute to shoot as many free throws as they could. Pictured below are our HCC free throw tournament champs!

Congratulations to our Team! This year Hood Container awarded three special awards in various areas of and recognized facilities furthering those key areas. Our Owensboro team was presented the Collaboration and Engagement award recently during our Town Hall.
The team increased observations and followed up on them through new Daily Management System meetings. By connecting line supervisors with team members to discuss safety observations daily, Owensboro has collaboratively reduced risk resulting in significant records without incident. Way to go Owensboro!
