We were thrilled to host the Ribbons and Roses Luncheon this past Saturday! Our close-knit community came together to learn, share, and connect in a warm and welcoming space.

Breast health and regular screenings are essential—but many of us still have questions: How often should we go? When should we start? What if we don’t have symptoms?

Thanks to insightful guidance from Dr. Gibson, our in-house Internal Medicine physician, and guest speaker Dr. Janine Pettiford, we gained clarity on these important topics. Their expertise helped demystify the screening process and emphasized why proactive care matters for everyone.

We’re grateful to all who joined us and helped make the afternoon so meaningful. Here’s to informed health and empowered choices!🩷

At Good Sam, we believe everyone deserves care, compassion, and community. That’s why every Friday, we pause our regular clinic to serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness by offering free medical, dental, and mental health care, meals, and medications exclusively for our Friday patients. This year is extra special as we celebrate 10 years of Friday Clinic, made possible by faithful donors. This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising $50,000 to fund one full month of Friday Clinic services. Will you help us Give Good Fridays?

🩷Yesterday, we went all out in pink for our annual Pink Out!, raising awareness for breast cancer, which impacts 1 in 8 women in the U.S. We also celebrated and rallied behind Team Good Sam as they gear up to walk 30 miles this weekend with the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer in the Georgia 2-Day Walk! This incredible organization has been a steadfast partner in providing breast health care to countless patients at Good Sam. Let’s keep walking, supporting, and showing up together. 🩷

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting a Chat with a Good Sam Chef at Westside Charter School in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Chef Reggie brought the flavors of Mexico to life with a vibrant cooking demo featuring two traditional dishes: Tinga, a savory blend of shredded chicken simmered in a rich sauce of tomatoes, chipotle chilis in adobo, and onions; and cactus pico de gallo, a refreshing twist on the classic salsa made with tender, diced cactus paddles.

It was a delicious way to celebrate culture, community, and the joy of sharing a meal together. Have you ever had cactus or nopal before?
