The Emory ALS Center combines state of the art clinical care with cutting edge clinical and basic research. The Emory ALS Clinic provides multidisciplinary care to ALS patients and their families, focusing on independence and quality of life through state of the art intervention. Our research focuses on basic mechanisms of motor neuron degeneration, genetics of ALS, and new experimental treatments

. We are physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, basic and clinical research scientists, students, fellows, and volunteers. Dr. Eleanor Thomas and Andrew Kim attended the 26th Annual Packard Center ALS Research Symposium and Andrew presented the poster. This project was funded by Hop On A Cure.

Our scientists performed proteomic analysis of blood from ALS patients treated at Emory and we were able to use this data to propose a panel of 10 proteins that can differentiate ALS from controls with very high accuracy.

Today, FACT Relief was honored to deliver a grant check to the incredible team at in support of ongoing ALS research.

Every dollar raised through our community, our donors, and events like the Quiet Hero Party helps move this work forward. This helps bring hope to families facing an ALS diagnosis and supporting the researchers working tirelessly toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.
