PINNACLE CONTRIBUTION - The International Society of Hip Arthroscopy meeting took place in Washington DC: the premier international hip preservation / arthroscopy annual meeting. Dr. Dominic Carreira chaired the session on forms of labral treatment and hip arthroscopy - with many treatment options that have become more regularly adapted. Dr. Carreira's team had 3 other presentations including on femoroacetabular impingement. Labral tears and Femoroacetabular impingement are common causes of pain in the adolescent and young adult.

As chairman of the Coalition for Patient-Centered Care, Dr. Stephen McCollam (left), alongside coalition members Glen Sumner and Dr. Marco Fernandez, recently convened in Washington, DC. They met with key policymakers, including President Biden's staff, to address the pressing issue of private equity ownership in healthcare.

Their discussions highlighted the impact this ownership model can have on patient care and the overall healthcare system. By advocating for more patient-centered policies, Dr. McCollum and his team strive to ensure that quality care remains the priority.

ALWAYS EVOLVING: Dr. Tim Griffith recently spoke at the Orthopedic Summit conference in Las Vegas. Dr. Griffith's lecture focused on the specifics of the UCL and recent advances in elbow techniques, particularly those involving MLB pitchers he has treated. Advancing education in the field is how we help the whole industry Get Better.
