What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practiced for thousands of years in China and other Eastern countries. Since making its way to the West, it has quickly become one of the fastest growing alternative therapies and is often used to complement and enhance the benefits of traditional medicine. Acupuncture subscribes to the ancient view that the basis of good health is the harmonious balance of qi (chi), the vital life force that empowers the body. When the qi can flow freely, health abounds. If this energy becomes stagnant or blocked, then the effects will result in loss of energy and the deterioration of well-being. The acupuncturist’s goal is to release blocked energy by applying sterilized needles to key points on the body to restore balance and improve health.

Sound Treatments
Acutonics: The sound healing system
It is a noninvasive system that has its roots in Oriental Medicine and draws on science, music, metaphysics, philosophical traditions, and both Eastern and Western medicine to create an integrated, harmonic approach towards optimal health. It is the energetics of sound, the human body as sound resonator, the meridians and points as pathways for sound, the concepts of the world harmonies and the cellular memory of sound imprinting and reformatting that are brought into the world of natural health through the use of precision calibrated planetary tuning forks. Acutonics has been used effectively for:

Infertility Treatment
Infertility Treatment – An Ancient Art
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine offer an effective, time-tested approach to enhancing fertility and treating infertility. In fact, acupuncture has been used successfully for infertility treatment for thousands of years. On its own, it can be seen as an alternative way of treating fertility problems. It is also often seen as a complementary therapy to modern fertility treatments. When used alone though, acupuncture is probably most effective for those couples who are experiencing a functional problem, like irregular ovulation, rather than a structural problem, like a blockage in the s***m ducts. Chinese herbs for infertility will also supplement the acupuncture treatment and any other treatment you may be receiving. In the acupuncture treatment for infertility, fine sterile needles inserted into specific acupuncture points that work through the meridian system to balance and harmonize the energy from the exterior inwards, causing the inner organs (uterus, liver, kidneys, etc.) to recover their original ability of conception and pregnancy. It helps the lining of the uterus when it is too weak to sustain a pregnancy which is a problem that is also known to increase the risk of chronic miscarriage. By increasing blood flow to this area, the lining may be better able to absorb the nutrients and hormones necessary to help it grow strong enough to hold onto an implanted embryo. Our mission is to help patients conceive and give birth to healthy babies by using acupuncture, whether in combination with In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Inter-Utero Insemination (IUI) or a natural cycle. We also treat women for: endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), aging eggs, high FSH levels, thin endometrial lining, luteal phase defects, menstrual disorders, ovulation defects, ovarian insufficiency, PMS, and menopausal syndromes. Major Benefits That Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Provide:
- Improves s***m count, motility, morphology, and reduces s***m DNA fragmentation
- Improves the function of the ovaries to produce higher quality eggs
- Regulates the hormones to produce a larger number of follicles
- Increases the thickness of the uterine lining
- Increases the blood flow to the uterus
- Reduces the side effects of IVF/IUI medications
- Strengthens the immune system and increases energy
- Promotes relaxation and decreases the stress response
- Increases chance of conception and rate of embryo implantation
- Prevents uterine contraction post IVF/IUI
- Decreases risk of miscarriage
We have treated many successful cases for our infertility patients. Below are just some of the cases that we have treated successfully. Case 1: The patient was conceived through IVF but had multiple miscarriages. We were able to do acupuncture for her to strengthen the uterus to hold on to the embryo for her pregnancy. Case 2: The patient had taken birth control pills since high school. In her 30s, she stopped taking the pills and tried to conceive for one year with no success. After she came into our office, we asked her to check for ovulation monthly and later found out that she wasn’t ovulating all these time. Her hormones have been off balance from taking the birth control pills for many years. We did acupuncture and gave chinese herbal tea to balance her hormones. She was conceived in two months. Case 3: The patient’s fallopian tubes were blocked due to a long time urinary tract infections. She had surgery to unblock the tubes but only one side of the tubes was successfully unblocked. We did acupuncture and chinese herbal tea to help her with the UTI and the flow of the other blocked fallopian tube. Under our treatment, she was conceived in about 3-4 months. Case 4: This patient is in her 40s, very healthy with an active lifestyle. But with aging, her egg quality is poor and low. After trying to conceive for a long period of time, she and her husband became quite stressful and with a lot of frustration. We have asked both of them to get the acupuncture treatments for relaxation and also to strengthen the egg quality. They both had treatments for about 3 months and she was able to conceive successfully. We strive to provide the highest standard of professional care in a friendly, comfortable, and nurturing environment. We hope that the information provided here answers many of your questions about acupuncture treatment for infertility.
