April 17 is World Hemophilia Day and a chance for you to join others around the world to raise awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Funds raised this year will go to support HoG’s efforts to make a global impact. Let’s all come together to continue to work towards a world where everyone with any bleeding disorder has access to diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive care. These efforts are led by the World Federation of Hemophilia and this year’s theme for World Hemophilia Day is “Diagnosis: First steps to care”

Tomorrow is World Hemophilia Day, and we’re especially proud to celebrate and share a meaningful moment for Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG).

Both chambers of the Georgia General Assembly have passed resolutions recognizing HoG’s decades of service, advocacy, and leadership on behalf of the bleeding disorder community, across Georgia and beyond.

From comprehensive care and research support to impactful programs like Camp Wannaklot, this recognition reflects the lasting impact of a mission rooted in helping individuals with bleeding disorders live full, healthy, and productive lives. Twenty-two families enjoyed a weekend of exciting and engaging activities while bonding and connecting with other families affected by bleeding disorders at Hemophilia of Georgia’s Spring Family Camp held at Camp Will-A-Way in Winder, Georgia on March 27-29, 2026. Families participated in interactive education and learned about the importance of physical therapy and staying active with a bleeding disorder.

Families had a great time participating in fun activities such as boating, rock climbing, ziplining, horseback riding, arts & crafts, archery, lawn games, or just chilling in the hammock village that HoG staff built! These are just a few of the many educational, empowering, and often life-changing offerings that are provided at Family Camp!
