It’s doing exactly what it was designed to do: protect you.

Fight, flight, freeze, and fawn aren’t flaws. They’re survival responses your body learned to keep you safe. If you notice things like a racing heart, constant tension, irritability, or feeling “on edge” for no clear reason, that’s not weakness. That’s a nervous system trying to help.
