Check your EOBs weekly. So you know what the client is due prior to them being seen multiple times. One of my clients came to me with a list of 10 clients that no longer had their copays covered since the end of 2021. This means that they have over a years worth of copays that they now owe. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN???
Her old biller was not checking the EOBs and not posting payments to her EHR software either. So no one knew who got paid and for what. Imagine her patients find out they have such LARGE outstanding bills.
By checking up on your claims regulary and your EOBs weekly you can catch issues like this EARLY. Then you can inform your client before it gets out of hand.
