5 Uniform Ordering Tips Every Coach Should Know…

Uniform season doesn’t have to be stressful (or expensive 💸). Whether you’re a vet coach or just getting started, these 5 tips will save you TIME, MONEY, and HEADACHES:

1️⃣ Measure ALL Dancers — Yes, even the vets (unless you really know your sizes). New girls? Measuring is non-negotiable.
✨Pro tip: Tape measures are FREE at costume conventions… grab a few!
2️⃣ Key Measurements Matter — Bust, Waist, Hips (widest part!), Girth, and Inseam. Trust us, you’ll regret skipping even one of these.
3️⃣ Consider Thicker Straps — Our top-heavy girls need real bra options. Spaghetti straps limit support, and clear straps aren’t doing the job 😩
4️⃣ Create a Look Book — Don’t just order what’s cute. Design with intention. Match your band director’s vision, separate team identities, and get those official school color HEX codes!
5️⃣ Chart All Costume Info — Build a Google Sheet with names + measurements, t-shirt, and shoe sizes. Share it, print it, update it — it’ll become your season-saving secret weapon.

Let’s be REAL, it cost to be on the team & while membership has its privileges, they can’t be at the expense of the coach!

There are some non-negotiables that are in place for maintenance & preparation for the season & coaches can’t forego IF growth & efficiency is expected!

Summer Intensive deadlines are quickly approaching, get the training this summer in preparation for next season! This series will include reviews, process, and more…

Follow & select the ‘link in bio’ —> Summer Intensive! This video is simply an overview describing the process to submit. We do not guarantee your acceptance!

Tips:
1. Please make sure that you begin preparing for video submission if you’re going that route.
2. If you need assistance, please contact someone in your area that is proficient in ballet & can safely help you!
3. Your choreography or improv is your time to shine! Showcase your best skill sets!
4. Make sure you submit your videos at the length requested.
5. Headshots should be clear & of you ONLY!
6. Videos should be shot horizontally and be sure to remain in the frame while performing all skills.
7. Make sure you’re wearing the proper attire listed on the site.
8. Be respectful of the process and submit on time, early if possible.
9. Prepare your deposit, and be sure you’re ready to pay it if accepted so you don’t miss the opportunity!
10. Have fun and ask questions if necessary!
