Hands may heal the spine—but music heals the soul.
I’m often asked: How do you balance being a spine surgeon and a musician and….Would you ever choose one over the other?
And my answer is simple:
Life is too short to only live one dream.
Too short to fall in love with just one calling.
Every man has two lives—and the second begins the moment he realizes he only has one.
In this one life, I have chosen both. Because some days, healing looks like surgery…and on other days, it sounds like:
“I’ll cry with you, I’ll die with you… I’ll get you through.”
So now I ask you—what’s your second life?
