🦶 Tuesday Tip: What Is Ankle Instability? 👣
Ankle instability happens when your ankle feels wobbly or frequently “gives way,” especially during walking, running, or on uneven surfaces. It’s most often the result of previous ankle sprains that didn’t fully heal or were not completely rehabilitated, leaving the ligaments (the stabilizing bands of tissue around the ankle) stretched or weak.
👉 Common signs include:
• Repeated ankle sprains or rolls
• A feeling that your ankle “gives out”
• Pain, tenderness, or swelling around the joint
• A sense of imbalance or instability when moving
