🧘🏾‍♀️Tips for Protecting Your Mental Health!

Your mental health deserves as much care as your physical well-being—especially during busy or stressful seasons.

Here are 5 simple but powerful ways to protect your peace this month:

1 Set boundaries – It’s okay to say no. Protect your energy and time by creating limits that honor your needs.

2 Take screen breaks – Constant notifications and scrolling can drain you. Step away, even for 10 minutes, and notice the difference.

3 Move your body – You don’t need an intense workout. A walk around the block, stretching, or dancing in your kitchen can boost your mood.

4 Talk it out – Don’t hold it all in. A trusted friend, therapist, or journal can be a safe space to release what’s on your mind.

5 Breathe—deeply – Just one intentional breath can calm your nervous system. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Repeat.

🙏🏼 What’s your go-to mental health strategy right now?

Drop it in the comments—we’re all learning from each other! 💝

Therapy isn’t always lying on a couch and talking about your past.
It can be so much more—
It can be deep, honest conversations that leave you feeling seen.
It can be learning new tools to manage anxiety, stress, or relationships.
It can be having a space where you don’t have to pretend to be okay.
It can be rediscovering the parts of yourself that got lost along the way.

Therapy looks different for everyone. And that’s the beauty of it—There’s no one way to heal.

Whether you’re in the thick of it or just getting curious, your journey is valid.
We’re here when you’re ready.

🥗Nutrition Therapy: Your Questions, Answered

▪️1. What is nutrition therapy, really? It’s not about diets or restrictions—it’s about healing. Nutrition therapy is a supportive, non-judgmental space where we explore your relationship with food, body, and self. Together, we build habits that nourish you physically and emotionally.

▪️2. Who can benefit from it?If you’ve ever felt stuck in food guilt, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, or disconnected from your body—this is for you. Whether you’re working through disordered eating, a health diagnosis, or just want to feel better in your skin, nutrition therapy meets you where you are.

▪️3. What can I expect in a session?Picture this: a conversation that’s kind, curious, and tailored to you. We talk about your goals, your struggles, your wins—then create a flexible, realistic path forward. No shame, not scale focused, just support.

▪️4. Do you give out meal plans?
Only if it’s clinically appropriate. For clients recovering from an eating disorder, we may use structured or mechanical eating as a therapeutic tool to support healing. Outside of that, we don’t do rigid meal plans. Instead, we focus on intuitive eating, gentle nutrition, and helping you build a peaceful, sustainable relationship with food—without the rules.

▪️5. Is this like seeing a dietitian? Not exactly. Our approach blends food and feelings. Think: a therapist who gets nutrition. We focus on the emotional side of eating, body image, and lasting change—not just numbers and macros.

You do not need a diagnosis to start nutrition therapy, you just need curiosity and a desire to feel more at ease with food and your body. Whether you’re struggling or simply seeking support, this space is for you.

LGBTQIA+ & Therapy: FAQs

Navigating identity, relationships, and mental health as an LGBTQIA+ individual can come with unique challenges—and therapy can be a powerful source of support. Here are some common questions we hear:

✨ How can therapy help? – A safe space to explore identity, process emotions, and gain tools for self-acceptance.
✨ How do I find an affirming therapist? – Seek referrals from trusted sources, look for LGBTQIA+ experience in bios, ask about their approach, and trust your gut.
✨ Can therapy help with gender identity? – Absolutely. An affirming therapist can support your journey and help you navigate different aspects of your mental and physical healthcare along the way.
✨ What if my family isn’t supportive? – Therapy can help process rejection, trauma, and grief; set boundaries; and find affirming connections.
✨ Does therapy help with coming out? – 100%. It’s your journey, on your timeline. Therapy can help you navigate it.
✨ What about LGBTQIA+ relationships? – Every relationship can benefit from support. Affirming and competent relationship therapists can help deepen your most important connections.

Your experiences deserve to be seen, understood, and affirmed. If you’re looking for a safe, inclusive space to explore your mental health, we’re here for you.
