Is there anything better than smelling a delicious meal cooking? What if you were cooking that delicious meal with someone you love and it was a recipe guaranteed to make you feel warm, cozy, and connected?

Jesica and Brian recently tried the "Marry Me Chicken" recipe and it did not disappoint! The warm, creamy sauce and tender chicken made them want to say "I do!" all over again!

Cooking together is a great way to slow down, spend time together, and let the aromas of the meal take you away from the hustle bustle, and settle into the moment. Practicing mindfulness while cooking with your parter is a great way to work in some time together while retraining your brain to see the positive connection in your life.

Here's the Marry Me Chicken recipe if you need something to cook this weekend! https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1024503-marry-me-chicken

We would love to hear the dishes you enjoy cooking together! Let us know in the comments!

One of our favorite parts of the Keeping the Love You Find workshop is that it builds connection and community within the group of participants. This quote from one of our former participants was wonderful to receive, because that feeling of connection and healing is exactly what we hope you will take away from this experience.

The workshop is structured to give you practice with communication skills that you can apply to all of your relationships in your life, and you get to practice them with others in the workshop! The level of sharing and connection that we create in our three days together is really something special. If you are interested in exploring ways your past relationships may be influencing your current behaviors and learning skills to help you say goodbye to experiences that may be holding you back from the connected, thriving relationship you desire, this is an excellent opportunity!

You will:
*Learn new skills to help you show up authentically in relationships
*Say goodby to old patterns that are holding you back
*Explore why you pick the partners you do and how your choices can be healing
*Examine how you show up in relationships and practice skills to decrease conflict in current and future relationships
*Create a vision of your thriving future

What’s It Like to Be in Relationship with You?
It’s a big question, right? It’s one we don’t often think about and yet, it can be the key to creating stronger, more connected relationships.

Our Imago for Individuals workshop, Keeping the Love You Find is all about getting curious about yourself, your past, and the patterns you bring into relationships. You’ll take a closer look at how your experiences may be shaping the way you show up with others, and how to start letting go of the stuff that might be holding you back.

Using the Imago approach, we’ll help you build more awareness around what you’re looking for in a partner or what you need from your current partner, how you handle conflict, and how you relate in general. It’s about becoming more conscious, more grounded, and more intentional in your relationships, starting with the one you have with yourself.

Whether you’re single, in between relationships, or just wanting to grow, this is a space to explore, reflect, and shift old patterns so you can move toward the kind of connection you really want.

How does considering your past help your present? We all carry our past experiences and histories with us into current relationships. Whether these experiences are from our parents, siblings, important childhood relationships, or previous romantic relationships, these experiences affect us. Reflecting on our past relationships can uncover unconscious behavior patterns we may bring with us into current relationships. This self-reflection prepares us to make more meaningful choices in our relationships that can lead to greater connection and less conflict.

If you find yourself feeling upset, and the feeling is more intense than you would expect for the current circumstances, you may be bumping up against something from your past. This is a good time to pause, take a breath or a break and let your nervous system calm down before proceeding. Taking a beat can mean the difference between a big fight and a discussion.

Our past influences our present in ways that often go unnoticed. With a little practice and some exploration of past relationship ties, we can reduce our reactive behavior and live more fully in the present.

If you wold like to learn more tools to help you release the past and improve your relationships, join Dr. Wendy Palmer Patterson and Bob Patterson July 18-20 for Keeping the Love You Find: Imago For Individuals.

In this virtual workshop you will:
⭐ Explore how past experiences shape current relationships
⭐Understand emotional connections & break unconscious patterns
⭐Learn tools for healthy relationships—whether you’re single, dating, divorced, or between partners

Today, we honor Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and a reminder of the resilience, strength, and enduring contributions of Black communities in America. It’s a day to reflect on our history, acknowledge the progress made, and recommit to the work still ahead for justice and equality.

Happy Juneteenth. Let's honor the past and keep pushing toward a more equitable future.
