Looking for a quick wellness tip?

Remember GORP? It's a timeless favorite, but let's switch things up a little. You can grab bags of nuts and dried fruits from the store to whip up your own blend, or opt for the convenience of pre-packaged trail mix. Nuts are a great source of fiber, and research indicates that regular nut consumption can reduce the risk of heart disease. Aim for about 1/4 cup to keep things balanced.

Do any of these sound familiar? It's totally okay if they do! Without establishing healthy boundaries, we frequently encounter feelings of being exploited, resentment, burnout, and neglecting self-care. When boundaries are flimsy, it's all too simple to set aside your own needs just to please others.

However, this approach doesn't lead to ease in the long run! A lack of solid boundaries can lead to exhaustion and feeling overwhelmed. Keep in mind that prioritizing yourself is not just acceptable—it's crucial! Swap out that negative self-talk for an uplifting and encouraging inner voice.

Pain. Stress. Anxiety. Overwhelm. It all shows up in the body.

One of the very best things you can offer it is a quiet mind, a few minutes to pause and rest.

Is your body asking for a quiet mind?

Today is World Mental Health Day. It's a great time to check in with your own mental health, and to become familiar with mental health conditions that you may not know about or experience yourself.

This holiday was created to advocate against the social stigmas of mental health issues. Just like physical conditions are rarely within someone's control, the same is true of mental health. Equally as important, mental health deserves to be seen, accepted, and approached with the same respect and access as one would get if she broke a leg or if they have kidney disease.

While we're not licensed medical providers, many of our guests and members use our services to help on their own mental health journeys - from anxiety to stress to depression and more.

We hope you'll take some time today to reflect upon, be grateful for, and prioritize your own mental wellbeing.

This week's wellness tip is an easy one - carrots and hummus make a great snack on the go! Use small containers to prep your hummus, or buy individual packs at the store for convenience. Pair it with some baby carrots or bell peppers, and you're good to go! This snack has it all: protein, fiber, and a satisfying crunch.

Pause. Just for a moment. Take a break from the stress.

When you pause, you gain a better understanding of yourself, why you respond in certain ways, and it helps you reset your inner sense of calm. How can you unplug and recharge mentally?

Some people find that the practice of "doing nothing" really does, well....take practice!

It can be a challenge to be alone with your thoughts, with nothing else to distract you when you float.

But that's where you can find peace... and true healing. It might take some time to get comfortable with your own boredom. And that's okay. Embrace that.

Here’s a quick wellness tip for you...

Bringing hard-boiled eggs with you might spark some debate, but they’re a fantastic way to incorporate a nutritious snack into your daily routine. These eggs are a complete source of protein, providing all nine essential amino acids that your body requires. Just sprinkle on a bit of salt and pepper or add some hot sauce, and you’re good to go!

Pain is inevitable as part of our lives, but float therapy helps to provide relief!

While it's certainly not a cure-all (nothing really is), the practice of float therapy can be incredibly effective in reducing pain in the body and mind. The float solution, with about 1,500 pounds of Epsom salt in each float tank, provides a safe space to reduce muscle tension and pain without any effort whatsoever on your part.

Floating can also help reduce inflammation in the body, which is a leading cause of many ailments and diseases. If you've been searching for a safe way to minimize pain, try floating.

Feeling better IS attainable and we are here to help!

Wishing you a happy International Day of Peace! Our deepest wish for you is simple: peace. We believe that peace begins with each of us, one float at a time. When we find it within ourselves, we can share it with others, creating a ripple effect across the world. It may be a big dream, but it’s the very reason we do what we do!
