Today we celebrate 49 years of my parents union!! Although daddy is not here in the flesh, he is here in spirit and in our hearts! Therefore, their love, commitment, and legacy should still be celebrated. Thank you parents for your example and for all the love you shared with each other, with us, and with everyone you all have encountered throughout your years together!! It’s just that…I’m just a country girl from Arkansas….who was/is? an artist. And today I had to clock into the fact that I’m actually in real life getting a masters in social work from Howard University. 🤯 Never even saw this in my path, but hey let’s do it!! Birthday weekend is in full effect…perfect little gift 🤗

"Moving Through the Mental" is a movement exploration class where we discuss our experience with anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental health while interpreting these experiences through dance & other creative arts. An ode…THANK YOU NEW YORK!! You taught me how to suffer, how to persevere, how to fight for my truth. You taught me that everyday there’s an option to grow or stay the same and you NEVER let me stay the same. You taught me that I have to take care of myself, how to budget, how to eat healthy, and how to finally answer the call for therapy. If it weren’t for you, my dear New York, I would not have the opportunities I have today!!! Therefore, I am THANKFUL!!! 😩😩😩 I’d go through all of my struggles 10x over if THIS IS what the other side looks like! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 “I am grateful, therefore I am joyful”
