I love seeing all the med school matches and newly earned doctorate degree post and those pursuing them.

I tear up and feel so proud. Every person has a different journey/experience but the end goal is to finish without pulling out too much hair.

I chose to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, and reflecting on the journey, I realize that balancing rigorous coursework, single motherhood, and life’s demands was one of my greatest challenges.

Leaving lab classes reeking of formaldehyde after respectfully dissecting human cadavers, only to dive into all-night study sessions.

I’m reminded of the dedication and resilience it took to reach this milestone in 2010 as I celebrated with family and friends.🎓

American Black Chiropractic Association continues to build strong networking within the profession. Integrating and improving outcomes for persons of color entering the profession.

Black female chiropractors remain significantly underrepresented in the United States. Yet, women in chiropractic aren’t just breaking barriers—we’re building bridges, creating opportunities, and paving the way for future generations to thrive.

Dear WLeader,

As a leader, your influence is powerful, but so is your discretion. Protect your vision and your peace by being intentional about what you share and with whom.

Not everyone who appears supportive is truly in your corner. Some may only stick around to gather information and feed your critics. Be discerning. One of the most dangerous threats to your leadership comes from those who pretend to be your ally.

Privacy is your armor. What others don’t know, they can’t undermine. Lead boldly, but guard your sacred spaces fiercely. Pray for increased discernment today and moving forward. BE NICE and continue to pray fervently. All ill-motivates have an expiration date.

Love & Light

Dear WLeader,

I started to cry earlier…. Yet I used that moment to empower others. 🤷🏾‍♀️

In the hardest of moments, I find myself leaning into God’s strength more than my own. Life brings challenges that test every ounce of who we are, but with each test, I see how deeply God holds me, even when I feel at my weakest. His grace goes before me, creating paths I couldn’t have imagined, and favor surrounds me like a shield. It’s not always easy, but I’ve learned that when I surrender and let God lead, He always shows up with wisdom, peace, and strength I didn’t know I had.

“Faith is not built in comfort, but in the fire of trials. It’s in the toughest moments that God shapes us, strengthens us, and prepares us for His purpose.”

Being favored by God doesn’t mean life is perfect or free from struggle. It means that, even in the trials, I have hope and assurance that He’s working everything for my good. I stay rooted in prayer, holding on to His promises and trusting that no moment is wasted. Whether it’s a mountain I’m climbing or a valley I’m walking through, His love is unshakable. I am living proof that, even in the tough times, God’s favor makes a difference.

Something is being birth— I feel it! 🙏🏾💚

Dear WLeader,

To all the incredible women let’s be real—leadership isn’t always glamorous, and life doesn’t always play fair. But if there’s one thing we know, it’s that resilience isn’t just a skill; it’s our superpower. Each of us has faced moments where the obstacles seemed insurmountable, and the road ahead uncertain. Yet, we continue.

Whew, sometimes I even surprise myself! After receiving some difficult news from my neurologist last week, I prayed, cried, and reminded myself of the power of God within me, regardless of physical limitations.

In those challenging moments, we must remember this: We are stronger than any setback, wiser than any defeat, and more capable than we often give ourselves credit for. Push through the tough days, not only because we”ll grow, but because someone, somewhere, is watching and drawing courage from our journey.

🗣My daughter chose to write her college paper on me as a leader she admires.

I’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness time and time again, and I owe Him everything. Even through my own struggles, I found myself smiling and lifting others in prayer, because my “yes” to Him is unwavering.

Moral of the story: Move like everything is going to work out… because it is! 🙏🏾💚

Happy International Women’s Day!!!

THE GREAT POSITIONING

On March 8, 2024, as we celebrate International Women's Day, we join millions of people worldwide in acknowledging the outstanding accomplishments of women in various fields. This day is more than just a moment of recognition; it is a call to action to speed up gender equality and empower women in every aspect of their lives.

The journey towards gender equality has achieved significant milestones, which are the result of the tireless efforts of women and their allies around the world. From shattering the glass ceiling in corporate leadership and entrepreneurship to making advancements in science, technology, education, and the arts, women have shown resilience, innovation, and leadership.p.

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” - Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou’s quote serves as a reminder that 𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 and growth often arise from overcoming challenges, inspiring women to persevere and find strength in difficult times.

When women demonstrate 𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮, it not only helps them overcome obstacles but also serves as an inspiration for others, encouraging them to pursue leadership roles despite the complexities they might face.

𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 becomes a beacon, showcasing the strength and determination needed to succeed.

The weight of responsibility, accountability, and loyalty can be overwhelming. However, even amidst it all, you must stay true to who you are and not neglect what you need to thrive.

To all the incredible and powerful women out there – those who have left an indelible mark and those still on their remarkable journey – today is a celebration of YOU! ✨

Let's come together, connect, and celebrate the strength, of ALL women! 🙏🏾💚
