I love seeing all the med school matches and newly earned doctorate degree post and those pursuing them.
I tear up and feel so proud. Every person has a different journey/experience but the end goal is to finish without pulling out too much hair.
I chose to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, and reflecting on the journey, I realize that balancing rigorous coursework, single motherhood, and life’s demands was one of my greatest challenges.
Leaving lab classes reeking of formaldehyde after respectfully dissecting human cadavers, only to dive into all-night study sessions.
I’m reminded of the dedication and resilience it took to reach this milestone in 2010 as I celebrated with family and friends.🎓
American Black Chiropractic Association continues to build strong networking within the profession. Integrating and improving outcomes for persons of color entering the profession.
Black female chiropractors remain significantly underrepresented in the United States. Yet, women in chiropractic aren’t just breaking barriers—we’re building bridges, creating opportunities, and paving the way for future generations to thrive.
