It’s been 1 year! Half of my non compete time! Time has flown and I have been so busy with traveling that I forget to post. I know I need to post some before and afters but with 2 time zones and all this driving… I am tired. Now I need to start planning what’s next… where do I go? What will I do?? Thoughts??

Crystal makes me feel that maybe I should just be a model!! She did my 40th birthday pics and we did family pics with her and her team this year! More to come soon.

Post Operative Care is very Important. Lymphatic massages by a trained and seasoned professional can optimize your surgery results!! In the first couple of days, they can help with the soreness and stiffness and help that swelling to get better faster.

Once you started doing your research, you need to know if you are a good candidate for liposuction. Know the facts before so you are not disappointed after.

Also remember that there is a limit to how much can be safely done in one sitting. Maybe you need multiple rounds? Or split up areas?

Re**us Diastasis is common in women over 35 years old, have delivered a large baby or a multiple pregnancy. It is also seen in men with abdominal obesity.

Diastasis recti can be improved by rebuilding your core from the inside out. You need to strengthen the transversus abdominal muscle. . Anything that causes the muscle to bulge in the middle will actually make it worse.

Sometimes this will improve the weakness and give you a flatter appearance.

Liposuction will not treat re**us diastasis. You can improve it with guided exercise. Other times you need the muscle repair that is done in an abdominoplasty.

It’s funny how things work out. When I started at Howard University, Dr Dawson was one of the first plastic surgery attendings. He was intimidating but I learnt a lot from him…even did my first breast reduction with him and learnt how to suture backward. This year marks 10 years since I left Howard and last week I was fortunate to have Dr Dawson mentoring at my new facility. It made me remember how much Howard helped to get me to where I am today!

Hey hey hey!
I am still here and still finding my way to my ‘new surgical home’. Next week I will go to a 3rd state in 3 months!! I have been traveling. I wish I could be home but ….noncompete.

Yes I am operating but not doing and breasts or BBLs. Once I find my home and I am ready you guys will find me for sure!!
