I have been quiet here because I have been reflecting on how I want to show up as I move into my second year working full time through .io .
This year, I have been meditating more. Returning to my yoga practice. Looking inward again. And I was reminded of something very simple and very true. Every real moment of success in my life came when I was centered in myself.
Not when I was chasing goals.
Not when I was trying to become something I am not.
Not when I was consumed by work or money or proving anything.
Clarity has always come from stillness.
I use technology every day. I believe in it. I respect it.
But I do not believe in letting it replace presence, thinking, or human energy.
Yesterday, I even advised a client not to use AI. Not because it is not powerful, but because it is being overused. Right now, people are craving what feels real. Many no longer know what is authentic and what is not. You can feel that confusion everywhere.
My creative thinking does not come from prompts.
It comes from awareness. From lived experience. From understanding people across cultures, generations, and contexts.
I do not like technology using me. I like using it intentionally, in service of clarity, creativity, and meaning.
The same applies to work and to hiring. When companies rely only on tools or assume that knowing technology is enough, they miss something essential. Context matters. Experience matters. Energy matters. Different generations bring different wisdom, and that depth cannot be automated.
Imagination, to me, is not abstract.
It is idealistic, but it is also grounded.
It is imagination put into action, guided by awareness.
This is what I am coming back to.
Mindfulness. Creativity. Presence.
And building from a place that feels true.
