Meet Landon Swanson
Office Manager | Advance Rehabilitation Calhoun

Landon Swanson is the Office Manager at Advance Rehabilitation in Calhoun, GA. Originally from Adairsville, where he still lives today, Landon has been a valued member of the Advance team since 2019.

He began his career with Advance as a Physical Therapy Aide/Tech at the Adairsville clinic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he stepped up to assist multiple clinics by providing both tech and office coverage wherever needed. His willingness to help and ability to quickly learn new roles led to him taking on more administrative responsibilities, eventually earning a full-time position as an Office Assistant at the Rome clinic. From there, Landon became the Office Manager of the Rome Hand Therapy clinic, where he spent two and a half years before moving into his current role leading the Calhoun front office team.

With over six years of experience at Advance, Landon has developed a deep understanding of both the clinical and administrative sides of patient care.

Outside of work, Landon enjoys all things sports-related — golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, Braves, and Falcons. He also loves spending time with friends and family, whether that’s out on the lake or catching a game together.

Landon’s journey into physical therapy began after experiencing sports injuries that required rehab himself. While his original plan was to become a Physical Therapist Assistant, he found a different calling within the same field — helping patients and supporting the clinics that make recovery possible.

🦍🏓 We’re excited to announce that in just two weeks, Advance Rehab will be a proud sponsor of the Sasquatch Slam Pickleball Tournament.

Our team will be up there on Friday to help participants stretch, warm up, and stay injury-free before the matches begin 💪 — stop by our tent and get game-ready with us!

We’re also cheering on our very own Megan Loyd, PT, DPT and Becca Martini, PT, DPT, who will be competing in the women’s tournament! 👏🔥

We can’t wait to be part of an awesome weekend of fun, fitness, and pickleball! 🥒💥

Going up and down stairs with a walker after surgery can seem daunting. We've put together a simple how-to that you can use to help manage the stairs safely.

Going Up ⬆️
1. Place your walker sideways with the opening towards you. Firmly grasp the stair rail with one hand and your walker with the other.
2. The walker's legs should be against the stair riser with all 4 legs in contact with the stairs. Step up with the non-surgical leg and follow with the surgical leg until both are on the same step

Going Down ⬇️
Repeat Step 1 of walking upstairs, then step down with the surgical leg and follow with the non-surgical leg.

It's important not to attempt stairs until released by your surgeon. If you need pre or post-surgical care, we're here to help.
