The truth is, Black women experience anxiety at higher rates than most, but we’re often the least likely to seek help. Why? Because we’ve been conditioned to be the ones who “handle it all,” even when it’s too much.
Anxiety for us doesn’t always look like panic attacks.
Sometimes, it’s:
✅ Overthinking every decision.
✅ Always feeling “on edge” or easily irritated.
✅ Feeling guilty for resting.
✅ Shrinking yourself so you don’t “take up too much space.”
✅ Smiling when you’re drowning inside.
Sound familiar? You’re NOT alone, and more importantly, you don’t have to do this alone.
I’m creating a space just for us—Support for the Anxious Black Girl Community.
This is a safe, healing-centered community where we can talk openly about anxiety, release the weight of expectations, and get real tools to navigate stress.
