Great community event today! Thank you to all those that joined us for our complimentary luncheon and fireside chat, to join along corporate and healthcare leaders who are committed to, investing in and strengthening our communities. Powerful and important discussions had, including learning how investing in healthcare for underserved aging adults improves health outcomes, strengthens the workforce, and helps lower the cost of care.

As we close a week of celebrations honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we’re grateful for a meaningful week here in Atlanta honoring his life and legacy. His call for justice, equity, and compassion continues to resonate deeply in healthcare, especially in the work of providing care for our most vulnerable neighbors.
Dr. King reminded us that “of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” This week reinforced our commitment to advancing health equity, strengthening communities, and ensuring dignity and access to care for all. Honored to serve and to carry his legacy forward in the work we do every day.

We've had a great day honoring our Veteran Hospice Atlanta patients for their courage, service, and connection. Our Veteran Volunteer retired Navy Captain Alan, traveled around to our patients’ homes today, honoring their service with a We Honor Veterans pinning event. A few of our patients honored today are shown here: Duane, an Air Force pilot, and later a commercial pilot, with a flawless 30-year flying record, and Edward “Ted,” a Navy veteran and centenarian honored at age 102.
Alan, our Volunteer and a retired Navy Captain who served aboard the USS Long Beach during the Vietnam War, has spent over 15 years giving back to fellow veterans through visits and veteran pinning ceremonies. Through these events, Alan brings honor, understanding, recognition, and the unique bond that only a fellow service member can share.

The MUST Ministries Hope House will open its warming station on Monday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 11, in anticipation of cold weather. We will be providing shelter services for men, women, and children. The Hope House shelter is located at 1297 Bells Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
