Issues with eye teaming, tracking, and/or focusing are very common in adult and pediatric patients, and commonly go undetected or misdiagnosed. “20/20” vision simply refers to the distance that one can see. It is not uncommon to have ‘perfect’ vision, but struggle with teaming, tracking, or focusing. It is important to remember that vision screenings (usually done by pediatricians) may not identify issues such as these, which could result in your child seeing words like those pictured below.

This issues are often associated with symptoms such as:
-switching letters/words
-eyes turning inward/outward
-inability to see up close/far away
-jerky eye movements
-inability to track
-issues interpreting what the eyes see
-difficulty copying words
-poor handwriting

If any of these look or sounds familiar to you- you could be suffering from an oculomotor issue! Call Vision Performance Center at Paper Mill @ 770-668-9289 to schedule an evaluation today!

COVID-19 Messaging to Patients

Effective immediately upon reopening our office.
The health and safety of our patients, staff and visitors has always been a priority for the Vision Performance Center. Our offices have always implemented stringent sanitary standards, and we are taking additional steps to optimize safety via:
• Reducing patient scheduling and waiting room volume.
• Reducing the number of guests accompanying patients.
• Expanding sterilization methods to our entire clinic.
• Making hand sanitizer readily available to staff and patients.
• Checking temperatures and monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms for all doctors, staff, patients, and guests who enter the office.
• Mandatory face masks for all doctors, staff, patients, and guests. Masks will be required to remain on for the entirety of the visit and should remain undisturbed.

Thank you for your patience through these unusual times.

Vision Performance Center is excited to announce that we will be reopening the office soon! We have been busy preparing the office, accumulating all of the necessary safety equipment, and implementing our new guidelines to safely start seeing patients again. For the time being, we will be running on a modified schedule. We are first opening up our schedule for eye exams and vision therapy evaluations, and we plan to add office vision therapy sessions at a later date. Although we will not be conducting office therapy at this time, our therapists are still here ready to help both current and new therapy patients set up and implement home vision therapy programs until we reopen the office for all services. If you need to schedule an eye exam or vision therapy evaluation, just contact our office and we will be more than happy to get you scheduled!
We are all still working through this crisis and we will continue to do our part to take all of the necessary precautions to safely serve our community once again! We hope everyone has been able to stay safe and healthy during this time and we are truly grateful to be able to help all of our patients and their families! We look forward to seeing all of you again soon!

The office is friendly and professional. The doctor took her time listening, testing and then discussing the results with me. Compared to big factory practices, this office gave us time and personal attention. I highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience. Andy in the office was great and so was the eye Doc. Thanks again!
