April is Second Chance Month! ⚖️😁🎉

"Second Chance Month is not only recognized in Georgia. It's a nationwide observance, with many states and federal agencies participating to raise awareness and promote opportunities for
individuals with criminal records.

Governor Brian P. Kemp has issued a proclamation declaring April as Second Chance Month in the state, reaffirming Georgia's commitment to public safety, accountability, and opportunities for individuals to transition successfully back into their communities.

Key Activities and Events:

•The Georgia Department of Community Supervision (DCS) organizes various events throughout April to aid individuals under supervision in their reentry.

•The DCS and community partners host events offering
resources related to employment, housing, and healthcare.

•Job fairs are also organized, connecting individuals with justice backgrounds with potential employers."
