Well I still have a lot to do outside but I'm feeling the need to sew. I have so much fabric and I need to reduce my stash.

I also need to sew things I can sell to support the Giving Garden.

What should I sew? Most of what I have is cotton fabric and I don't want to have to spend extra money in supplies.

So my choices are...

Market totes

Yep. That's about all I can think of.

Any ideas?

I saw this image on the web and thought maybe I could do something quilted to help me use up the smaller bits of fabric?

Been up since 5:30am because 🇬🇧Hubby is home and he's an early, early riser.

So I've made pumpkin spice French toast, sticks from leftover bread. Breadcrumbs from the even more leftover bread. Made some baked egg cups too!

I've picked vegetables and processed them. Fed the dogs, fed the chickens, fed the fish and cats.

Made the bed, sorted the laundry and now i wait for the laundry service technician to come back because he didn't screw the lid back on my washer and I need to show him that they charged me $700 to replace a pump when in fact the water was simply leaking out of the detergent cup!

Now I'm heading out to the garden to read because im tired, cranky, and mad about getting ripped off!

This is this morning's haul. It's chilly but not freezing so we're still getting food. I'm sure they'll be more this afternoon when I go collect eggs.

I'm tired of home shopping tv channels selling mass produced new products.

I want to see a recycled, upcycled, crafty, DIY, buy nothing, get creative with your trash channel!

The garden is still giving and so can I. Nothing edible is left behind. Today I'm taking a lot of the basil and making pesto.

Only a couple of more weeks till we have our first frost so it's time to start gathering up the last of the plants and processing them in one way or another in case someone is in need over the winter. A package of spaghetti and a little pasta sauce or pesto could come in handy for someone on a tight budget.

I do leave a few plants to go to seed so I can have seeds for next year.

Collected about 6 cups worth of basil, toasted up some pine nuts, chopped up some garlic, shredded some Parmesan, added the olive oil and there you have it… Pesto!

I certainly can't eat that much pesto so into the freezer it goes! Pesto pucks!

I swear these okra weren't this big when i picked this morning!

They grow so fast!

If only I had such luck with zucchini and squash. Because I don't even like okra OR bell peppers!

Yasss!
