Midwife Day is next Wednesday February 5 at the Capitol from 10:30 to 12:30. I know it’s an enormous inconvenience, but unless people show up for us to stand up for licensure in Georgia, it will never happen. WE NEED YOUR OUTCRY.

I am sending you a link that talks about Midwife day and the T-shirts that we are going to wear in case you want to buy one. If you do, just put your size and you would pick it up that day at the Capitol.

If you will come, I will do the work of finding out who your legislators are, and there will be lobbyists there to help us go to ropes and talk to our legislators.

Children are absolutely welcome and a wonderful educational opportunity to see how legislation works and to be a part of making a difference for our families.

You are so needed in this movement. It’s not just about licensing for midwives, which we absolutely deserve. It’s about improving the unbelievably abysmal, maternal mortality rate in the state.

It’s about using your voice to say that you and your daughters and their daughters deserve to choose where and with whom they will give birth.

Please help us to make a real long lasting change for women and babies and families in Georgia.

It will mean the absolute world because peace on Earth begins with birth.
