Thank you .diego.arts for this outstanding weekend of learning, sharing and diving deep into the present and future of regenerative medicine with such amazing colleagues and thought leaders.

I have been using microfat and nanofat for about a decade and see daily the benefits it delivers to our patients.

The art of fat injections to highlight beauty and facial features is undeniable. It does require proper patient evaluation and proper technique, and that was the focus of my lectures.

There are so many nuances in facial aesthetics. I see over and over again that a trained eye and experience matters, gentle fat preparation matters and that the applications for microfat and nanofat use will only expand.

I learned so much more about real regenerative medicine, exosomes, secretomes and the application of real science to use it responsibly, and this is so exciting to me! Can’t wait to use all I learned to benefit our patients and integrate it in our protocols!

I am honored to be faculty of SDARTS this year - one of the leading meetings in the world on the regenerative use of fat and stem cells to improve outcomes in medicine and plastic surgery.

I’ll be lecturing on my current use of microfat in association with periorbital surgery and facelift surgery, and participating on a panel about non-surgical regenerative treatments we currently offer.

Several specialties are part of the conference such as plastic surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, sports medicine and more.

Refreshed but not “changed”, as it should be ❤️

This is my comprehensive periorbital rejuvenation surgery which usually combines upper and lower blepharoplasty, fat transfer to the areas around the eyes, and a gentle brow lift for a youthful and natural look.

This lovely patient and friend is in her early 60s. She is a beautiful accomplished woman and was getting bothered by the heaviness around her eyes and the constant “tired look”.

I was so honored to take care of her as she flew from out-of-state to have her surgery. She is now 4 months after periorbital rejuvenation surgery and she looks just like herself but rested and brighter.

She had some issues with persistent swelling and inflammation after surgery. She was amazing and followed all the postop instructions to achieve good healing.

Refreshed and unchanged…only 4 weeks after surgery!

This lovely patient of mine is an example that sometimes “just an upper blepharoplasty is not just an upper blepharoplasty”…..

Like many other patients, she wanted to look brighter, less tired, younger.

I showed to her that my goal was to do all she wanted but I could do it all with only an upper blepharoplasty.

She had mild ptosis with severe loss of volume of her upper eyelids, and a slight brow descent.

If I just removed the upper eyelid skin on a patient like her, she will not look refreshed or younger, it would make her eyes look sunken and still tired.

So I performed an upper blepharoplasty with comprehensive micro fat grafting of all areas around her eyes, mild ptosis correction and a brow lift to rejuvenate her eyes.

I also did a chemical peel to the lower eyelid to improve the skin texture, and it will take another 4-8 weeks for the skin to be completely healed.
