Being of service to the was an absolute stretching experience.

I sat through my own externship in 2020 before the world changed before my eyes. Being a helper at this training showed me how impactful my singular reach can be, how much emotion is still misunderstood, and that learning is never-ending.

Looking forward to other experiences beyond the therapy room that stretch my clinical muscles and shape my private practice!

Picked up two goodies during my break today.
Monday was Mondaying so I decided to spend a little time outside and thrift for a few books.

Now Attached is a repurchase (my first copy I passed off to a client), and I picked up Permission to Feel because it just felt….right…ya know?!

Have you read either of these finds?

Winter storms aren’t new to me as a native New Yorker and what I remember from my childhood is that events are what you make of them.

I’ll be spending time cuddled with my pup engulfed in several different worlds to preserve my phone battery.

Praying for all of those affected by this winter storm across the country.

How will you be staying grounded in this storm?

Still a therapist that’s not great about being online

But it’s a new year and we’re shifting just a bit
This page will hold some of my one-liners, tips for navigating mental health in a world ablaze but the real work happens in session with me.

I’m not a therapist that does life coaching but if you’re wanting some real life examination, introspection, EQ leveling, pattern recognition and strategy, and a few anecdotes…I got you.

When life feels heavy, it’s easy to reach for whatever comforts us in the moment.

Soothing doesn’t always help us in the long-term and coping doesn’t always assist us in the moment.

Read blog post - Tender Moments and Tough Days - to learn how each is broken down and when they can be most effective. Link in bio!

I’ve seen what a powerful addition community is for Black mothers.

This is for the mom who feels like she’s holding everything together alone. For the one who needs to breathe without judgement and without feeling guilt. For the one who just needs someone to say, “I get it.”

Next Meeting: Thursday August 21st at 7pm
