Sound. Stillness. Space.
On Saturday, March 28th, Matthew and I are offering restorative yoga with live ambient music at Nectar Yoga Studio . This class allows you to dedicate 90 minutes to deep rest and relaxation. Live ambient music enhances the meditative experience of the restorative yoga sequence.
The Yoga Nap
My longest program day is on Thursdays, where we serve breakfast, yoga and lunch over the course of three hours.
It’s a beautiful weekly gathering in the heart of East Atlanta Village and I love serving our unhoused neighbors through yoga and meals. Because I’m helping a lot of different people in a lot of different ways, this program sometimes leaves my mind and nervous system fried.
When I get home on Thursdays, I take a shower, put on comfy clothes, play ambient music and practice one or two restorative yoga poses. I use this time to nurture my body through restful yoga and quiet my mind through stillness. It is a form of meditation and is the perfect reset for my nervous system. It’s short, so I call it the yoga nap!
Our 90 minute workshop is longer and more luxurious than my personal yoga nap. My hope is that you leave remembering how important it is to take care of yourself especially when life is challenging. I also hope that you take some of the poses you learn at our workshop and add them to your routine on days when you need it most.
